ITEC is an international examining body that offers qualifications in the following fields;

Beauty Therapy
Sports & Fitness
Complementary Therapy

In most subjects there is a practical examination but in all subjects there is a theory exam. ITEC theory exams consist of 50 multiple choice questions in which you need to get 30 right in order to pass. The pass rate is 60% which is quite high.

ITEC do not give out sample papers so it is essential to find a study guide that offers a question bank of multiple choice questions similar to those you would find on your exam paper. These are great for revision purposes.

The idea would be to take a batch of questions every day and learn them. You can write the questions out on a piece of paper and bring them with you daily, learn them when you are stuck in traffic or if you are on the train. Once you have done this every day for a week, give yourself an exam on what you have learned and move on to the next week. Giving yourself a little test is a great way of establishing what areas you may need to go over again during your studies.

The key to studying like this is consistency. Do this every day as much as you can. You can increase or decrease the number of questions you learn, depending on what other things you have on that day. But always learn something, even if it is 5 questions. It is better than nothing. If you keep this up, even for a couple of months, you will be amazed at how your knowledge will grow and you will definitely see a difference in your test scores.
